Remember When Restorations- Company Information I have been a collector and restorer of vintage metal for over 30 years & it’s my fascination & love for old & unique pieces that drives my desire to restore & preserve these small relics of recent history. I specialize in many different types of metal- iron, cast iron, steel, aluminum, galvanized, brass, copper, tin, stainless steel & corrugated, stamped, rolled, pressed & pot metal. Some of the items I receive are “one of a kind”- that is, they’re unique to me because I’ve not encountered them previously. These items may have been mass produced or limited to a small run for a short period of time. Regardless of production quantity, I will typically study each item (on my time) before disassembly begins. This may involve various forms of research in books, catalogs, periodicals, etc. Please allow me this courtesy so that I will be able to more thoroughly understand your piece & restore it to the best of my ability. Please realize that "Repair" & "Restoration" are two different types of services. "Repair" is simply that - fix something that is broken, missing or inoperable. "Restoration" involves a complete renewal of a piece so it closely reassembles its original factory appearance. Some restorations do require a certain amount of repair, but as a rule, I do not accept items for repair only. Additionally, I do not have new or used parts for sale & I protect the handful of suppliers I deal with, so please do not pose these types of requests with me. Some parts are getting hard to find, so I encourage all my customers to purchase a piece that retains as many of its original parts as possible. This will sometimes save from having to purchase a second like piece in order to just salvage missing parts to complete your original purchase. I do work for both individuals and dealers across the country and will furnish a list of references upon request.
